We Are Deep In the Heart of Texas

Nomadic seasons of farming adventures with nature thrown in to include; a pinch of family, snippets of friends, counting our blessings, paying IT forward, home school, and the spicy things I decide to rant about.

Where will you be? Repost from Ebay

Where will you be in five years? (saenzmom)
Posted May-20-08 10:23:58 PDT
You will be able to address me as Dr. Nekkid Chicken. Our home will be paid off after paying the mortgage for 10 years. And hopefully, Mr. Chicken will become my house byatch and become SOCCER ROOSTER. And I will be working for the government again in the SES career field in Human & Organizational Resources.
.
The reason why I am asking this is: If you give up dreaming and going in the direction of your dreams you get stuck in a rut.

Five years I am hoping to have a new home, our car and a couple loans paid off and a new Peanut baby in the house, maybe the starts of a third Peanut baby. Also hopefully get back into writing.

Nah I plan to stay busy with all the other stuff I'll have going on. Right now we're working on putting together TBI support groups in our area and honestly that will become our focus again by then.

That's a good question, chickie. You have a great goal! Dr. Chicken. Love it. By the looks of your report card you're well on your way. I'm stumped about me. Hubby's a mechanice working for his dad and his dad isn't going to be doing what he does much longer. Whatever happens will also affect what I do as well. There is no plan at the moment. I don't work now but that could need to change.

I won't SQUAWK & Tell timetobreathe. ROFL NBNB, Same job just with local contractor with government here nearer the house. The regs for fostering wants steady employement though. And hubby is doubtful with making the move to a GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR, they can fire more quickly than regular government employers.

Yes, the electronics thing is what's hard on mechanics biz right now. He said the equipment is expensive and then changes too fast

Prince, oodles can happen in 13 years. Daisy Mae, I understand that. In small towns the computer equipment is killing smaller mechanics. WALMART has gauged this and reason why many of their SUPERCENTERS have invested in the technology. Anna, I will send you a copy of not only my doctorate thesis but "NEKKID TRUTHS: from the Mind of Chicken

And I will be happy to read it! I do admire your determination and hard work! I feel so fortunate - I may be getting old but house is paid for and have no debts. What more could one ask for. The only dark spot is the continuing medical stuff but so far so good!

Anna, I am fortunate that my "STICK TO IT" attitude earned me and my family a nice retirement. Luckily our medical insurance only cost 35 USD a month. I don't understand how folks can make do with out medical insurance or actually pay for it. Blows my mind. Neighbors next door do not have: Health, Dental, Property insurance at all. Do you want me to adopt you?

I also see where many of the bloggers are like I am in many ways. I grew up in mobile homes in Alabama with parents til they divorced. Was expected to become a wife and mother (in no particular order) and join their ranks. However, something strange happened on the way in my life. I SAID NO FOOKING WAY WILL I SETTLE FOR THIS.
