54 came home with me yesterday. Little girl did not eat enough and sugar water did not revive her.

Rive, I answered on your blog. DBD, You either have the chicken sexed at the hatchery which they will by examining its cloaca. Or you wait for it to develop its feather and combs. I know Daisy, hard on the little one. I am sad for him but he did really well. Lisa, I expect 10 to 15% die of natural causes first year of life.
