Hawk fight: repost from ebay

You will not believe it!

My chickens were making Oodles of noise running across the front porch. They spotted a Red Hawk in the air, so I was watching the bird since I would rather keep my biddies alive. Then I noticed two birds, really small different breeds, chasing the hawk. Seems the hawk was up to no good and was trying to raid their nests out back in our HUGE oak tree.

I watched the two birds attack the hawk and drive it off. Mind you the two birds were maybe 7 inches long but went after the hawk like a military aerial assault.
HOW COOL is that!

That's right muff! Ospreys are meaner than hawks, and very bold! We live just about a thousand feet from protected river land where there are eagles and every other kind of bully.....including gators....

Hey Muff, My three rooster bantys are like that too. Nuff Said on that, woofers. It was cool to watch the chase. They were pecking and dive bombing the hawk.
