We Are Deep In the Heart of Texas

Funny & True Story: Repost from Ebay

Funny & True Story: (saenzmom)

I just love my "little man" to pieces. Yesterday after dropping off Saenz-the-Significant at school we came home to see our flock of Naked Neck chickens running about our property. Since is was going to be almost a million degrees, I started to herd them back into their coop. (Later found out hubby admitted to not latching the door.)
.
Well they take off and scatter like roaches in the light. As I was getting my morning workout. I hear this whiney pealish scream. Seems two of the hens and the rooster has taken a liking to Zephyr and he was blasing a trial to the back porch. I gave up my chicken round up, to go tend to Zeffie.
.
He was upset and started calling the birds, "Flying Dinosaurs, coming to eat him." Poor Little Man, even at 38 inches tall a Naked Neck rooster does look like a dinosaur.
Needless to say, the birds got to "free-range" most of the early afternoon instead of late afternoon.

OMGosh! lololol Brings back memories of when I used to babysit my god-son... I would take him to feed the geese and tell him 'Do not chase the geese. They will chase you back.' And sure enough, he could not resist, and would come screaming and bawling back to me every time with about 20 pissed off geese hot on his tail....lolol

CPD, My aunt had this HUGE FRICKEN FRIGHTENING TURKEY BEAST that would chase visitors as soon as they stepped out of their cars. Kids literally had to run for their lives to make it to the safety of her house.

I will never forget the look on his face. He always looked terrified like it was the first time, no matter how many times he did it....:0)
