Seed Pods: repost from Ebay

Guess what hubby and I did? (saenzmom)
Posted Jun-20-08 20:01:18 PDT
We picked up seed pods from our 100+ year old mesquite. Do you think peeps would be interesting in a few of them. This tree is one of the ones of which I have posted pictures.
Saenz is doing really well, on his wound check. He told the nurse HOW TO DRESS his wound like his mom. No pain my way when cleaning.
.
They were impressed.
.
We sat outside with the kids and watched a heat storm roll away in the distance. Our creators art is stunning!
How was your slice of heaven today?

I am sorry that I didn't know, just read you back post. When I worked as a EMT we kept the burn area wet with cool water and a clean sheet. And transport. I keep a large kit at home and one in my car. But I made them Myself.

Yes darlene, I have learned oodles from the experience. When its your child in pain your perspective changes and your outlook. HUGS DEAR! DON'T PUT NEOSPORIN on a fresh burn. Cold water only, 15 minutes then cool wrap and transport. We are over 25 minutes from an ER. It could have been much worse.

(((hugs))) BACK READ OMG poor little guy. I had 1st. 2cd and 3rd degree burns from house fire and you know 40 some years later and scars still seem to be shrinking. I just finished up some volenteer courses for working with young burn victims. If you need I won't be home until late tomorrow though

We live 16 miles from hospital, but fire is one mile up the road. When hubby had his first heart attack I handle things ok until the fire got here. Then I went to pieces.

Hey Darlene, I am lucky. My boy is lucky. Military training saved him from shock and many other things. Nearest fire house is the same distance. I had to drive him in that trauma.

So glad to hear that Saenz is on the mend. Those seed pods sound cool, are you going to plant some? Just got off the phone with Boddhi and his daughter Maya. Her 6th birthday is today. I can't believe how fast these kids grow, it seems like yesterday when I held her in my arms when she was just 2 minutes old, not even cleaned up yet. WOW, time flies. Boddhi just got back from another trip to Kentucky. He sounds tired and how flight trouble, but otherwise is ok. He and Maya are planning to visit us for a couple weeks in August. I posted a pic of Boddhi on my last blog post, he looks pretty spiffy in his spats. Oh yeah, CONGRATULATIONS on your GRADUATION MAL! Hugs, Kat

Mixed, the cleaning is tough. Taking off all the crud before repacking. OUCH! But you know about that. How cool is that! Maya, such a pretty name. Did you know Maya in the Hindu philosophy created the COSMOS? What kind of trouble did he have with the flight? I saw the "new ID" policy. Yikes, we are becoming a more miltary state everyday. I will look at your blog. YEAH Also, I have not walked. Til the T's are crossed and I's dotted nothing is set in stone. Take care Love, Hugs and Kisses Nekkid Chicken out

Well, not sure what happened on the flight, somehow he was stuck in Cleveland and had to purchase a ticket from there to Colorado Springs, it cost him $700. He was lucky he had that in his pocket. I don't know why he didn't have a flight afer the layover and he really doesn't know either. But he had promised Maya he would be home for her birthday, so he got there last night. Yes, I knew Maya created the cosmos, Boddhi told us the meaning of each of her names. Her middle name is Kali. Anyway, let me know when the WALK is. Hugs, Kat

Good Morning Bloggie Peeps! (saenzmom)
Posted Jun-21-08 07:47:47 PDT Updated Jun-21-08 07:51:20 PDT
We will be busy here. Saenz's wound clean at 10:30, chicken chores, fruit tree watering, goat feeding. Then off to town to get chicken starter, more fruit trees and hopefully order my grape plants for the fall planting season. Hubby will start building my trealizes. (sp) Life is beautiful and very calm right now.
.
I will put of a picture of Saenz's wound 4 days after the scald. I will also take pictures of my new first aid kit without the splints and stuff. How is your slice of heaven?
We are expecting temps to reach a new record here of close to a 110.

I think prices will continue to go up Mal and it will start moving very fast...I think peeps will return to the land...Raising their own food...With the way things are with tainted food sources and soaring prices I see a return to nature and it's bounty....I believe we'd be healthier and much happier.

Goth, I have seen the trend too. Which is why, 4 years ago I looked for a house in the country with land. Thus, why we are putting in fruit trees and adding a new animal each year. Next year is pigs for us and a veggie garden. The grapes will not produce til the pigs reach their second year and the goats are in their fourth season.
