I just find them fascinating. Small animals usually under 48in, less hay, less barn space and great milk proucers. They size does not effect the butterfat in their milk. They can still breed naturally or through artificial insemination.
Now for dairy goats:

You know, I love all these little animals, mini pigs, mini cows...they are just the coolest. But I can't help but wonder what kind of mess we're getting into when we start playing god with all the genetic things. Just a thought.

Randy, I think the same thing all the time. With those I would think, their owners just kept breeding the runts. I have no idea how it works but, it gives a option for folks with small spreads.
HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Love the mini cows! We are already in a mess playing God, making things different. I would love having a pair out in a fence on our little acre n a third!
