We Are Deep In the Heart of Texas

Nomadic seasons of farming adventures with nature thrown in to include; a pinch of family, snippets of friends, counting our blessings, paying IT forward, home school, and the spicy things I decide to rant about.

One for the Record Books

This is a weird egg day.  Seabright our Porcelin D'uccle is back to laying far left.  Fiesty laid a double yoker (green long),  and Cranky had two mini eggs which normally look like the darker brown egg below.

I found you through Texas Blogging Gals. This makes me really miss our chickens! We had given my youngest son some chicks for his 4th birthday (he is 20 now)

I love finding weird eggs! I even have a couple of posts on my blog titles "weird eggs I have found!" My oldest hens used to lay wrinkled eggs, I kid you not!

Now that is what I would call an assortment! "How do you want you eggs dear, small, medium or how about a double yoker?" <;-)

way cool! Are you going to blow them out and keep the shells?? They'd make for great decor.

I'll be in your neck of the woods this weekend! I hope the weather cooperates!!!

Them are pretty eggs. All I ever get are medium to x large brown eggs. And occasionally small whites from the banties.

Hey Everyone,

Been a little busy here. Nice to see you all. Thanks for stopping by. Our first homeschool science project will be: BLOWING EGGS.

It should be a fun craft and learning experience.

I want to save those tiny treasures.
