I bought some store eggs this year since the boys wanted to dye eggs. Must admit store eggs are way cheaper @ .75 cents a dozen than our home laid ones.
I won't feel bad about not putting these to the pigs once the boys have done them up right tomorrow.
My mister is out back mowing grass, its near 90 degrees today. Can you believe it? He is pushing a lawn mower until he picks out a new lawn tractor. Keeping five acres mowed takes A LOT of walking.
Saenz shows Zephyr what to do....
"SAENZ" OUR HOLIDAY HAM!
These are Saenz's 'Irlens' glasses, its getting time to check his script again. Last our, this pair was right at $800 after four separate sessions and fittings. Well worth it because Saenz made huge strides in his 'academics' this year. See post about Homeschool a few days back, these glasses lessen the distortion of reading under flourescent lighting on white paper.

that last photo sort of looks like your profile pic, looking over your glasses. Good egg colors.
Awe Thanks Joanna,
I only ever hear how much the boys look like their daddy. Because of their 'warm' carmel coloring. LOL
Happy Easter
Man I would love to be there helping out with the eggs. Those are great pictures.Tell saenz that those glasses look hip, slick and cool.
Looks fun!
yes, Franklin is a Bourbon Red Tom, a big pet. And we have 3 Bourbon Red girls. Their eggs are delicious!
The store bought eggs may be cheaper, but they sure don't taste as good, but I guess the pigs won't mind. Why not use them for baking?
Ian,
We boiled the store bought eggs. And left them out in their carton after coloring them over night. Mom's holiday food prep stuffed fridge was full and there was no room. Thus, the boiled treats were feed to the pigs to fatten up the last male for market.
Our eggs are for 'eating' and are green blue and brown do not take to color well. I usually freeze, or sale our extra eggs.
Thanks for asking!
Thanks Hep Cat Larry! I love his John Lennon look in those glasses.
Hey Missy, Happy Easter
Joanna, I am 'jonesing' for a few turkeys. We get to see wild turkeys all the time, boy those birds can FLY pretty high. LOL
