Chicken Coop is Now a Moat
That is the side of my house. Over 7 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. More later when the storms pass.
LOL Yeah Gail, That was our first coop. Funny thing, we knew nothing when we built it from recycled items laying about. And that coop has the least troubles. Except for flooding.
I have webbed feet today. We are expecting more rain just not as much as yesterday. Three Rivers school district closed before school even opened. Buses could not get to students. That was a lot of rain.
Saenz and Zephyr 'fish' the chickens all the time. They tie a piece of bread to a fishing pole then cast between the hens. Waaaa Laaa, 'chicken fishing.' It is hiliarious to watch them.
"Chicken fishing",Hilarious.Up here is seagull country we tie two pieces of bread on opposite ends of a piece of string and watch the gulls try to fly off with their stash.
Good grief, what happened to your chickens? Their ground is flooded! Wow, that's alot of rain. HOpe it all soaks in and takes care of your yard and garden for a long time to come. Guess your chickens need a highrise condo!

Wow what a mess you will have. So sorry. I wish I had a truck load of dirt and sand to pour on it!
Makes me want to go fishing for chicken. That's a lot of water but that ground beneath is having a pool party to welcome all that rain.
OMG! Those poor birds! Hope you get a break soon!

oh my goodness. Poor birds. Maybe you'll get some relief soon.
We had sooo much rain and snow for a year long and sure hope we can hold on to some of this sunshine.
Has it gone down any or is it still rising? Those poor chickens, has this happened before? The kids having fun with it or is that a no-no?
Take care of you and yours!
Wow! The little chickens can ride on the big chickens backs, hehe!
Good grief! You weren't kidding about the rain! Your goats are floating!
