We Are Deep In the Heart of Texas

Nomadic seasons of farming adventures with nature thrown in to include; a pinch of family, snippets of friends, counting our blessings, paying IT forward, home school, and the spicy things I decide to rant about.

Ever had a discussion with a DRY DRUNK?

Well, it's almost pointless especially if that man is a 'self-proclaimed' person of the cloth.  AKA Has found religion and is now 'teaching' the flock about Jesus, The Bible and God.............

Those of the "FOOT WASHING, FIRE and BRIMSTONE" faiths do not read any further.

GOD is a creative force,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, The Old Testament was updated for a reason with the New.  GOD and Man's nature is similiar thus, GOD admits to mistakes --- think back to the Flood; man as a whole has to learned this by repeated trials by 'fire'.

HOWEVER, this 'dry drunk,' I had a conversation with; only knows one thing.  He is right; his way is the only way.  Perhaps though, he should realise that this line of thinking (control) got him into his past 'addictive' behaviors with the bottle and drugs.  True enlightment and self-peace comes from looking at many points of view.  Once you give up 'control' and strict rules of engagement then original thoughts and thinking may enter the --- House --- known as the soul...................

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Dry drunks are the worst kind because we don't know we are arguing with people just so we can ,"Drink",at them. Not only is it futile it is dangerous for us recovering alcoholics to get to that point.

Call your sponser.
