We Are Deep In the Heart of Texas

Nomadic seasons of farming adventures with nature thrown in to include; a pinch of family, snippets of friends, counting our blessings, paying IT forward, home school, and the spicy things I decide to rant about.

A Shout Out to the Universe

I just feel this needed to be reposted from last year...........

"Pet Pevee: Indecision

YES, one of my biggest pet pevees is indecision. While there are other areas of behavior that drives me to distraction like LYING AND STEALING both are huge 'sins' in my mind.

Indecision cripples not only the person who chooses not to make a decision but -- also the folks who depend on the decision maker. NOTHING can go forward until a person "BALLS UP" and moves on down the road.

Instead of sitting on one's hands and doing 'nothing' just take a leap of faith once in awhile. True, occassionally a person will fail; those are the odds of playing this game called, LIFE. But not to take a chance or change direction is just as crippling. No matter what -- folks will survive and if not, big freaking deal, start over.

Without change a spirit dies,

Without the thrill of a hard fought and well deserved victory: a warrior grows old,

Without faith in self and those who love you -- Death is sure to follow.

There is nothing sadder than to see or know a person who lives with regrets.......

Take a leap of faith; we (family and true friends) are here as a safety net in case things don't work out as hoped.

Thoughts from inside the coop....."

Calms self down walks outside to take a break.

Some people have a very hard time, making decisions. Maybe they just have fear that they will flub up, yet again. Of course, making decisions on the fly, can occasionally lead to tragedy too - or financial hardship. I just try to weigh the pros and cons and blunder on through, sometimes I am right, sometimes, I am dead wrong. :-)

When I was going to vocational school, they gave us this psychological test of sorts and said I was a stickler (to the point of pain) about rules, You don't break the rules, you don't lie, steal, cheat etc. I am not a Bible Thumper, but the rules are good and I do my best. (with a ever so slight problem with swearing. ;-) )

Have a good one, Mal!

Soooooo......

I agree with you, BUT..... when we are driving and decide we are hungry............. I can NEVER decide where to stop.... It matters not who I am with, THEY have to decide. ODD, huh?

Sharon,

There comes a time in everyone's life where making a decision is crucial to the harmony of a home. But when one party can not decide or drags feet over every decision that in itself is a decision. Just don't complain when your life doesn't change just the people around you do because they in effect can no longer take the whining.

LOL Judy, If I am ever with you I will remember to have a few places picked out in my head to eat.

Sharon I was speaking metaphorically in my response. The 'you' is in regards to people in general.

For example my daughter believes she is not happy in

Home A (San Antonio)
nor is she happy in
Home B (our home)
but believes she will be magically transformed into being happy in
Home C (California)

When in fact, the item in all three homes will be the same-- her. She is unhappy because she is living an unfulfilled life and has no idea her unhappiness is with herself - the location matters not but, at least she is trying to bring forth a change.

Whereas, another member of the family is unhappy with their job. If following the same rationale, he too thinks the location of his 'vocation' is making him unhappy again.

John, It is just I am a get in the fight, snag life by the balls kind of gal and don't cotton to wishy washy or foot dragging decision making.

IE. I would rather jump out of a perfectly good airplane than to be hit by a bus waiting for a safe dependable ride.

Hope that makes sense,
Mal
